Charity Miles Review

If you walk, bike, or run and have an android or iphone then I have some very cool news for you. A friend of mine on Instagram introduced me to a FREE app called Charity Miles. You can check them out at http://www.charitymiles.org

Here is their description:

Charity Miles is an iPhone/Android app that empowers you to earn corporate sponsorships for charity by walking, running or biking.
Just choose a charity and press start. As you walk, run or bike, the app tracks your distance and you earn money for your charity. Bikers earn 10¢ per mile; walkers and runners earn 25¢ per mile, all up to our initial $1,000,000 sponsorship pool.
And this is just the beginning. As you walk, run or bike with Charity Miles, you also help us attract more sponsors to increase our sponsorship pool for everyone.
So please join the movement. And please invite your friends. Because changing the world is a team sport!

Charities include:
ASPCA – benefits animal welfare in the United States
Achilles International – 65 locations around the world provides athletes with disabilities a community of support
Autism Speaks - funds research, increases awareness for autism spectrum disorders, and advocates for the needs of those with autism and their families
Feeding America (my choice) -nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity providing nutritious meals to hungry people
The Global Fund – main financier of programs to fight AIDS, TB, and malaria
Habitat for Humanity – helps build homes and provide other housing resources for families all over the world
The Michael J Fox Foundation – world’s largest private funder for Parkinson’s research
The Nature Conservatory – world’s leading conservation organization
Pencils of Promise - global movement committed to supporting educational opportunity for all. Helps build schools and empower children globally

So if you bike, run, or walk anyway then why not engage an app along with your other running tool? In three days of running this week, according to the charity miles app, I’ve helped provide meals for 25 people. It only cost me sweat equity and posting it to my Facebook and Twitter feeds. That’s a good deal!

I hope you will check it out as you continue to grow with the will to prepare!

I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I am embracing the brokenness of my sin and sin nature, that apart from God through the work of Jesus Christ, I can do nothing. I am a work in progress surrounded by people who love the Lord. I want to know my story and be able to see Christ and myself in others.
